Even though the weather tried to scare us off we held to our mission and ended up with a really fun day at the Tropicanoe Cove Waterpark in Lafayette. All the scouts that showed up (Trevor Hurt, Kameron Hoskins, Cade Vallero, Trey Houmes, Christopher Webb and Charlie Warner) were ready to make the trip rain or shine. We had a lunch under one of the shelters and then proceeded to the waterpark where we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
It was really nice to be able to go down the Banana Peel slide and not have to wait in line. The water was cold at first, but even I got used to it pretty quick. The rain stopped just in time for us and we even got a little sunshine during the day.
Looking forward to building the Cub Scout float on August 19th at the Hurt’s house!

Four men are in the hospital waiting room because their wives are having babies. A nurse goes up to the first guy and says, “Congratulations! You’re the father of twins.”
“That’s odd,” answers the man. “I work for the Minnesota Twins!”
A nurse says to the second guy, “Congratulations! You’re the father of triplets!”
“That’s weird,” answers the second man. “I work for the 3M company!”
A nurse tells the third man, “Congratulations! You’re the father of quadruplets!”
“That’s strange,” he answers. “I work for the Four Seasons hotel!”
The last man is groaning and banging his head against the wall. “What’s wrong?” the others ask.
“I work for 7 Up!”

If you haven’t seen the new Transformers movie then you need to go while it’s still in the theater. That’s the only way to get the full effect of the robots transforming. I think the coolest scene is when “Barricade” the decepticon police car, jumps in the air as a robot and then transforms into the police car and hits the ground running. “Way Cool!” Bumblebee is an awesome car as well. eBay is talked about quite a bit on the show and now I see they have the actual Bumblebee Camaro that they used in the show, up for sale on eBay. They are selling it for charity. I think the price is up to $30,100.00. Anyway if you like action and cars don’t miss Transformers, it’s “more than meets the eye!”
